   Encapsulating the history of R&B in a box set, even one that spans six discs, is a ridiculous task. Inevitably, there will be important artists and songs that are missing, no matter how comprehensive the set is. Rhino's R&B Box -- 30 Years of Rhythm and Blues suffers from that very problem.    THE R & B BOX Thirty Years of Rhythm & Blues. Rhino 6 CD Box set. R2 A treasure trove of classic rhythm and blues material from the forties through the seventies. Rhino outdid themselves on this set-- great selections, incredible digital sound, sixty page booklet full of artist info and rare pics.
